Artist Statement

My work is rooted in the breathtaking landscapes of the Haliburton Highlands. The unique beauty found here is a constant source of inspiration, evoking a passion that I translate into abstract images. Through my paintings, I invite viewers into this captivating experience, offering conceptual interpretations of this wondrous landscape.

My process is intuitive and immersive. I use acrylics and palette knives to create richly textured surfaces, guided by bold colours, metallic accents, and shifting light. The changing seasons are central to my work, allowing me to reflect the cyclical rhythms and emotional tones of our dynamic world.

The joy of my practice lies in exploring visual and emotional connections between nature, humanity, and existence.
